Not sure what to say?

I did not know John well but the one experience I had with him I will never forget. I asked if I could visit with him regarding a difficult problem I had with my supervisor. John invited me up to his office with open arms. I was 27 at the time and pretty wet behind the ears but he made me feel comfortable and welcome. He took care of the problem situation in a very professional manner. John was truly a great human being-I only wish I had gotten to know him better.

We are so sorry to have missed the announcement last year about John's passing. It wonderful honor to know John during my time as Dean of the College of Business and Economic at Boise State University. Kathy and I were so fortunate to have known John and have had the opportunity to learn many important life lessons from him. He loved Boise State and was a very generous supporter of our students and faculty over the years.

As a young MBA student at PSU I worked part time at the bank as a proof machine operator, I was concentrating on International finance and marketing and Dr Manning introduced me to a John for help with my project on how to increase white wheat exports from Oregon. John was extremely generous with his time and not only did he help me with my project, he shared his life story and his love of restoring carousel horses

I can say John was truly inspirational and a very generous person...

John will always be missed and a legend in my mind. Rest in Peace.

My condolences to the Elorriaga family members, as I reflect on John's generosity, especially to St. Mary's Academy and to Marylhurst College, where I taught writing and literature.
Blessings unlimited for him because of his dedication to learning and his love for life!

There are not enough words to express my sympathy for the passing of John Elorriaga My condolences to all of his family. John always had a way of making me feel like I was family and that was just a small part of his beautiful soul. His smile and charismatic personality made everyone feel they were family. He made everyone feel they were special! But the truth of the matter was ~ John was the special one. I will miss his outstretched arms greeting me with a hug, and his boisterous...

I'm so sorry for your loss. Prayers and hugs.

I don't know how many times over my working years, I'd say I work for U.S. Bank and the response would be "John Elorriaga's bank" John was synonymous with U. S. Bank for his entire career and even after he retired! He was a leader that all employees admired and appreciated! He loved making the rounds at the bank to greet employees.

Linda and I send our condolences to John's wonderful family and are keeping them in our prayers and thoughts.
