Emanuel, John G., Sr. Passed away Monday, January 23, 2012, at his home in Menomonee Falls, at the age of 86. Loving husband of Joan. Dear dad of John, Jr. (Patsy), Carol (the late Chris) Chop and Beth (Jeff) Kuhnke. Proud grandpa of Lucas, Emily, David Chop and Ben and Sarah Kuhnke. Further survived by loving relatives and many dear friends. John was preceded in death by his parents William and his mother Gladys, brothers Jim, Bill, and his sister Ruth. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He retired after 38 years, as Vice President of Manufacturing with A.O. Smith Corporation. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and reading. He was a proud member of American Legion Post 449. Many thanks to his friend Mel Culp, to Vitas Hospice Care especially, Susan Schraeger, Warren Williams, the VA Hospital, and Doctor's Margaret Holmes and Jeffrey Wesson. Memorial gathering and reception will be held Friday, February 3, 2012, at the Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 6:30 PM. Private committal services at Southern Wisconsin Veteran Memorial Cemetery.

I'll miss you Mr. Emanuel - hopefully you and my dad are swapping jokes and stories in heaven. I have such fond memories of growing up on 105th street with you all across the street. Seems like half my mom's household projects/repairs were accomplished thanks to Mr. E's engineering skills. Mrs. Emanuel - you, Beth, Carol and John Jr. are in my thoughts.
