Smith, Bizzell & Warner Funeral Home Obituary

John Miguel Emery was born March 21, 1967, in Gary, Indiana.  He lost his mother(Mary L. Emery)at the age of two and lost his father(John Emery) as a young man which made him a father figure to his younger brothers.  He lived a full, rich life and was well known, well respected and well loved in the community; and he loved the “Bronx” back. He was a strong, no nonsense guy that loved his family and friends.  Miguel played baseball at Brunswick Little League.  His coach nicknamed him Mac. He was fast and loved to steal bases.   He enjoyed barbecue; cooking and  eating it. He repented and gave his life to Christ at EOC. He was married once and has sixteen children.  He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Courtney Webster, John M. Webster, Shamethia Moore, Wesley Danzy, Marshema Mitchell, Ja’Corri Danzy, Jazmine Webster, Toshema Emery, Brandon Webster, Jonathan Pye, Miguel S. Emery, Jaela Finnell, J’Chela Emery, De’Vontray King, Jeremiah Pye and Roderick Thomas ; two sisters, Juana(Carl)Hunter, Annie Jones Lee; four brothers, John F. Emery, Lovie D. Emery, Jamar K. Emery and James Robinson; thirty-one grandchildren, a special cousin,Tracy Byrd; a special nephew, Anthony Davis and host of other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.  He was a father, brother and friend to so many.  Miguel got his wings on September 17, 2020, at Methodist Hospital Northlake.  He is at peace and in the presence of the Lord.  Miguel will be truly missed.
