It was always a pleasure to chat with him at River Oaks Racquet Club in Rocky River. As one of his students he showed such compassion for helping everyone improve their tennis, including mine. I just found out about his passing and feel so sad that such a nice and genuine man is gone. I will always have fond memories. Condolences to his wife and children and grandchildren who...

To the Engelke Family,My deepest codolences on the loss of Jack. Marty and Ted, your father was the sole reason why my tennis game improved back in the day and helped me make the team. Not only did he influence my game, he influenced my life. I will always have great respect for him. I'm so sorry for your loss.Sincerely,Brian Celerio

Our sincerest condolences to Jack's entire family. We will miss seeing him on Hilton Head! From all of us at Sea Turtle Getaways.

So sorry to hear Mr. Engelke passed away. He was an excellent coach to us kids back in the day. I remember him well growing up at St. Raphael's. He was an amazing father to his kids too.

I am very sad to hear of his passing. Your family is in my heart.

With much love and sympathy. May God bless all of you during this difficult time.

We are very sorry to see Jack go. We always enjoyed conversations with him over the fence and catching up on the goings on in the neighborhood. We are here for you, Marilyn! Please let us know if you need anything. Brigid will be happy to come and keep you company any time.

I am so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. My deepest sympathy to the Engelke family. I'm sure he and John Heil are playing a tennis match in heaven!
