John and I were good friends through high school and later. We were "team mates" on the pit crew of the 59, the Boyd´s Auto Supply early modified that ran at Silver Springs speedway in the 70´s. I´m so sorry for Sandy and the family. John was a great friend. We sure had a lot of fun together over the years. He will be sorely missed.
