We never had the privilege of knowing Hans in his younger years. But his good sense of humor, kindness and generosity were evident to the very end. He was a true friend and in our thoughts he will always be close to us. Fondly, Henry & Herta

Wir sind sehr traurig über den Tod von unserem Onkel Hans. Gerne hätten wir ihn noch einmal bei uns gehabt. Trotz der großen Entfernung war er immer an unserem Leben interessiert. Wir werden ihn nicht vergessen.

As sad a time as this is, when we think of Hans, we can't help but smile. His zest for life and friends was a wonderful gift that he gave to us all. Hans would want us to remember him with laughter,in the company of good friends and gut essen.so let the sadness pass. here's to you Hans. We will truly miss you our friend, but our memories will stay alive and well for a long time to come

I am very sad with the passing of my dear friend; I loved him so much for his kindness & generosity. I will miss him a lot, but I know now he is no longer sick & can eat anything he wants. Life seems darker today without him. We'll be seeing you again.

Mr. Ertl was a fun and generous person and while my son and I only had a handful of opportunities to meet Mr. Ertl, he would always treat us like we were long lost friends. Jon and I are very thankful that we have had the honor to meet and know Mr. Ertl and our thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Ertl and their son Steve.
