Not sure what to say?

Clinton and I were Sunday School buddies. Almost neighbors Camped out in my dad´s pasture.

I worked with Clint at Adams Kleemeier in the late 1980's. He was intense, competitive, generous in his digs and sparse in praise, but he was the sort of person who you knew meant it. I can still recall that when I received an offer to work at the firm, Clint met me in the hallway with his usual cup of coffee, frowned sincerely, pointed at the carpet and said, "We want you to work HERE." Having moved first to Delaware and then to the Seattle, I had not seen him for perhaps 30 years, but...

I did not know until now that Clint had passed away. My affection, respect, and appreciation of Clint and his role in my life as a young lawyer and a mentor are immeasurable. And, it was always fun to spend time with him! God bless his family.

I am so sorry to hear about Clint´s passing. He was always larger than life in my eyes growing up. I have many fond memories of visiting Greensboro with Mrs. Eudy. I have always admired the way he made a course correction in his life and became a nurse.

He was a terrific nurse when my sister-in-law was in the hospital after surgery. He gave her good advice on how to deal with the pain.

Glenda, so sorry to hear of your loss. John sounded like a marvelous person. My mom, Effie Eudy, sewed for you and your mother many years ago as you were growing up in Kannapolis. Thought you and your mom were so beautiful and kind. May warm memories of your times together help you through. All my best, Melinda

Dearest Glenda, This news left us heartbroken for you and your boys. You and Clint were truly a match made in Heaven-2 beautiful souls with few equals in this world. I agree with another who wrote how fascinating it was to learn of his career transition from law to medicine. The first no doubt attracted his keen intellect, while the human brokenness it revealed to him must have inspired his heart to be a healer, giving his ALL-to the highest of standards-in whatever pursuit was his focus....

Clint and I were classmates in law school at UNC-CH. We entered in September 1968, and were in the same class section for our first year. Clint was a tenacious, gifted law student. He was fearless in class, and quick to grasp points that most of us missed. We marveled at his ability to handle what seemed to be devastating Q&A sessions during lectures. Little did we know what he had been through as a Marine in Viet Nam. Tough questions and debates were no match for this fellow. I was happy...

Clint was a law school classmate that I greatly admired.
