John was born on October 23, 1930 and passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017. John was a resident of Erie, Pennsylvania at the time of his passing. He served in both the U. S. Navy and U. S. Army in Korea and Japan during the Korean War; as a counterintelligence corps Intelligent Analyst. He received the Korean Service Medal from the Government of South Korea, the Nation Defense Service Medal and Meritorious Union Citation from the United States and the United Nations Service Medal. He was married to Carollyn Jean (Moore) Falcone. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Merle E. Wood Funeral Home, Inc., friends may call at the Brugger Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1595 West 38th St. at Greengarden Boulevard, with visiting hours on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Paul Church at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Erie Community Foundation, 127 W 6th St, Erie, PA 16501or Alzheimer's Association, 1600 Peninsula Dr., Ste. 15, Erie, PA 16505.

John, was my cousin. Had to talked with him while Carol was alive. he wanted to come visit..Sure will miss him.

So very happy I was able to spend some time with Uncle John within the last year! He was never without a story to tell or a laugh to share! My thoughts and prayers are with my entire Falcone family! Love you Shawn!

Dear Falcone Family,

It was with great sadness that I learned of John's death. He was not only a distinguished member of the Erie County bench and bar, but also a great contributor to our entire community. He enjoyed his family, many friends and an active life. I always appreciated how very kind and supportive he was to me. We will miss him a great deal.

I worked many years ago with Attorney Falcone. He was a lovely and personable gentleman with a sharp mind and wonderful wit. I will keep him in my prayers. Mary Wagner
