Not sure what to say?

I, too, had the pleasure of appearing before General Magistrate Farrell on several cases and even trying one (which was, of course, affirmed on appeal). When appearing in General Master Farrell's Chambers, I always knew that I had to be prepared and that he would make the correct ruling according to the law. He will be missed.

My condolences to the Farrell Family.

Farewell to a good friend and mentor, I will miss him. Condolences to the family, may God keep John by His side.

John,
Your friendship has been a gift to many in this lifetime. May you now rest in peace through His gift of everlasting life.
Our heartfelt sympathy to family and friends…

I had the pleasure of appearing before Magistrate Farrell on many occasions. He was an uncommonly gifted lawyer and possessed the unique ability of being able to separate the wheat from the chaff and get to the heart of the matter. I didn't always agree with his decisions, but they were clear and direct and the parties always understood exactly how he had reached them. The Miami legal community is greatly diminished by his loss. I will miss him.

Warm, wonderful man. Great lawyer. A magistrate with common sense, humor and perspective. A pleasure to be around.

It is great to have friends when when one is young, but indeed it is still more so when we are old. When we are young, friends are, like everything else, a matter of course. In our older days we know what it means to have them.
I could not have asked for a better friend than John. I will miss you dear friend.

John and I went through flight training together, were instructors together in Pensacola, when my wife (Luckey) and I were married. We remained best of friends after he graduated from Law School and embarked upon his distinguished career. He was unique, and we will miss him greatly.

What a special person...
What a special friend...
Our heartfelt condolences to his family and extended family...

John Farrell and Family,

John was a true Southern Gentleman and at the same time an intellect beyond imagination.

He was down to earth about legal matters and life in general.

With friends like Marion Sibley, Bob Floyd and Ray Pearson he was highly respected in all of his approachs to life and what was fair in court.

My deepest respect for this highly liked Southern Gentleman.
