John Felton

I had the good fortune to meet John through Ryann when she attended the Girls State program at MSU back in 2014. John was warm and friendly and we each shared the coincidence of having the same first and last names. I was sorry to learn that he had passed far too soon. My condolences to Ryann and the rest of the family.

Oh my goodness what John meant to me and my son let me try to explain.... I met John and Sonja because my 12 year old son Ryan wanted to meet everyone who moved into our neighborhood. I was a single mom raising a son and Ryan looked up to John, well who wouldn´t! Long story but when I had an issue with my son and needed someone who could stand up for him, John was there which meant the world to me and I have never forgot that. I worked for John for several years in Ann Arbor. He was a great agent and a great RAC. He talked about his kids all the time and the pride they brought him was evident. Under his guidance John took a newly opened and unproven Ann Arbor Field Office and created a cohesive and hard-working group that earned the respect of other agencies and the USAO. John was a great man to work with, very easy going. Gone too soon. Condolences to John's family.

John and I were roommates at ECU off campus along with Carlton Nelson. John also was in my wedding back in 1989. Even we lost touch over the years he was still my "boy". He´ll always have a special place in my heart. RIP my bother until we meet again.
