Lifelong Mountain Top resident, 89-year-old John "Jack" Fey, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Elsie, his wife of 60 years Faith, son Dale, grandson Zachary and brother Carl.
Surviving are his sons, John (Keri), Bob (Karen), daughter-in-law Cindy, sister Jean Ann, granddaughter Samantha, grandson Evan, great-grandson Kash, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and beloved dog Ginger.
He was at his best tinkering in the garage, at the racetrack cheering Earnhardt or son Dale, riding the Harley with Faith, cruising in one of his hot rod chevys, camping with friends, hunting in Wyoming, shooting his bow and arrow or hanging out at Wheels. He was a hard-working skilled mechanic, cross-country tractor-trailer driver and dump truck operator working full-time into his eighties.
Family would like to send special thanks to Mark Hanson, the best neighbor anyone could ever have. We are so grateful.
Private graveside services will be held on Friday. McCune Funeral Service is assisting the family with the arrangements.
