John Fields Sr.

John Fields, Sr., 86, Indianapolis passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at his residence. He was born May 6, 1926 in Indianapolis to Floyd and Lagena Fields. He married Billie Ann Yates on May 5, 1951. She preceded him in death. Mr. Fields honored his country by serving in the military and fighting in the Korean War. He retired from RCA after 37 years of dedication. Survivors include three sons; John, Jr., David and Michael all of Indianapolis, a daughter; Dianna Koehl of Indianapolis, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. John was a dedicated husband and father. He loved his family and all of his grandkids and great grandkids. And he loved his Oreos. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 20 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Chapel of the Chimes. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 19 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. John will be laid to rest at New Crown Cemetery.
