Not sure what to say?

John was the best.

Dana and family, I had the pleasure working with John through the different acquisitions of Arcada Software thru Veritas. Joe Seebach, Marshall Barton, John Fiore, et al held the CPG family together. There is not one person that attended the Memorial from the CPG-family who had not benefited from the guidance of these mentors. I was only able to attend the Celebration of John's Life for a short time, as I had to return to San Diego, for which I apologize. The light of life we are given may be...

John: We're burning this candle and then another and then another until we can see you again......love!!!

Remember the good times Dana. It does seem to soften the aching heart. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I knew John as a fellow tutor with the SLO Literacy Council and then when he played Juror #5 for me in 12 Angry Men in February 2010. He did a GREAT job in the production, lending such an air of realism and truth to his character. Juror #5 is a guy from the streets whose knowledge of knife fighting ultimately provides a hugely important clue to the accused boy's probable innocence. John played the part with much grace and commitment. It was a pleasure knowing him. And what a poet!

It has been many years since we had the pleasure of John's company. His charm, quick wit, and incredible smile are what we remember the most. The recent pictures of John on his blog remind of that, happily, some things never change. Thank you, John, for sharing all of yourself throughout your courageous battle. And reminding us, throughout, what is real and true in this life. Our prayers and love flow from our hearts to Dana, John, and Michael, as well as all the family and friends, back here...

We will treasure our friendly chats with John about golf, his many amazing traveling adventures, his expert advise on our landscaping problems and many more subjects. He was always a willing helpful neighbor and ready to reach out and help his fellow man. Thank you John, you will be missed. Ed & Jenn Carija

Dana and Family,
You have my most heartfelt sympathy.

Dana,John and Michael and family back east,
Your Dad and brother was a good man; very dedicated to his family and true friends (much like my own brother Mike). He also lived life on this earth to the fullest.
I am sorry you lost him right before Thanksgiving but I know you will be thankful for the lives he loved, touched and shared with others.
I am so happy I got to see him in Arcata at Michaela and Damien's wedding. He will be missed by all that had the priviledge of...
