John saved my life ( well kinda) many years ago... He and one of his class mates were helping swimmers pass their swimming tests at the Sandy swimming hole in Washougal. a leaf (or fish) touched my foot, i panicked and they kindly got me through the ordeal.... i didn't pass my test, and never learned to swim.....

Dear Libbi and Pat. I was so sorry to hear of John's passing. He was such a good and kind man. I enjoyed our times together in Vancouver at Christmas and Thanksgiving. My thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family. Barbara Landrock

Dardee and I were so sorry to hear of John's passing. He was a great friend and mentor to me as I began my principalship in the Washougal School District. He was a great role model who demonstrated a caring attitude toward students and staff alike. Our family will always remember the excursions out to "Peanut Island" by boat and the other fun times we had together. John made the world a better place. Our most sincere condolences go out to you Pat and to your family.
