Met John and Linda in 1965 when John was my husband's (Doug) navigator in the Air Force stationed at Griffiss Air Force base. We shared a few meals together when the crew was on alert. Nobody even complained when I cooked deep fried chicken for the first time and it wasn't completely cooked, being a newlywed and new to cooking, The last time we saw John was in April 2013 when we were in DC for a friend's burial in Arlington.
