Jackson on 9th Street beach in Avalon 8/28/03.

It is with great sadness that I just learned of young John's passing. I remember him as a young man, for Coach Flannery allowed me to do some summer camp coaching for the HS while in college, and I enjoyed immensely John's enthusiasm, friendliness, and joy. I knew then that these outward traits were only expressions of his deeper, loving character. I know for sure that John has put a smile on his Maker's face, for he has done well.

Kate and family: Our hearts go out to you on the loss of young John. You will be in our prayers.

Dear Tex and The Flannery Family,
On behalf of my father, Joseph ('50), brother, Michael ('77), brothers-in-law, Ron Martin ('82) and Jim McColigan ('87) and my entire family, please accept our sincere wishes and prayers that our gracious God will anoint you with peace and comfort in the homegoing of your son. May his legacy at LaSalle shine brightly in the halls and on the playing fields for all time. His life modeled what LaSalle is all about - - turning boys into men for God's...

Words cannot express my sympathy to all Jack's family and friends for the loss of this dear, sweet, wonderful man. His life should be a lesson to us all in humility, acceptance and love. And he, like no one I have ever known, has taught us all to live each day to the fullest. He has truly earned his place in heaven and in our hearts.

To the FLannery Family,
We never really lose the ones we love. Memories of the times of laughter sustain us, and will make us smile. The person who passed, I believe, is gladdened by this. Know that he will never really leave any of you. Much Love and Sympathy, Pat Galullo

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Flannery and Irene,

As my brother Brian's best friend, Jack has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. He was one of those rare people who could make you feel that you were the only person in the world when you talked to him. He will be a part of my memory forever. My thoughts and prayers are with you,
