I was deeply saddened to hear the news. I have know Brian since our early teens. I can truly say I never saw him without a smile on his face. I remember I was doing my nursing clinicals and it had been a hard day. I was struggling with my decision to become a nurse. I saw him with at great big smile and he extended a hug.
