This is what I wrote in my journal the night Uncle John passed:
Uncle John died today. And as I get closer to the idea the more sad I am. I cried on my mom,and she held me tight. I will always remember him as the strong, kind, and lovable man. But yet everytime I think of him he's that frail, skinny, small man propt on a pillow with eyes closed. Momma says he was in lots of pain, and at least he's relieved of it. Although she didn't say it I know she was thinking,"He's in a better place...

my uncle John is the best and he was always a angel to me and the family and I love you uncle john and I give all my love to the family and a.d and Aunt pat
