John was born on October 15, 1935 and passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019. John was a resident of Newport, Rhode Island at the time of passing.
Many young men away from home for the first time looked up to him. He was our authority, our security and in our hearts, someone we felt we could trust. I will carry my memory of service under him forever. Fair winds Sir!
