Meerabai, thank you so much for sending this message about Guitar by the Sea. I did not know it existed. I got a copy off of amazon and I'm so happy to have it. You are so right about it. What wonderful, soulful music it is. My husband, Bud Skow, was the drummer in the Hayseed Band where John played lead guitar. Listening to his sweet guitar brings both guys back into my world and sooths my soul. Thank you.

When I first heard the CD 'Guitar By The Sea' I lived in Washington, DC around 1997. It relaxed me so much that I started to weep. I would just let it play for hours. My friend, Norm Gruenke (bass player) sent me this video of John with the Da Crabby Blues Band at Shucks 4 years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhTI2hbRsKs

We loved your love for each other. Susie and John, such a romance! That leap to marriage bound that connection. We celebrate you both. That's the power of love.

I am sorry to be writing this so late but I just learned of John's passing this last weekend while visiting my mother. I have very fond memories of John and his brother Sam, mostly from family holiday dinners at my grandparent's home or at Aunt Nina's. Although it's been years since I have seen John, I often thought about him and the Omaha relatives as I would hear snippets of what everyone was up to every so often. I was happy to hear that he had found the love of his life as he was a...
