My dad, Arthur Maillet, was very very fond of Jack. Especially before dad died in NY in 2000, I tried sooo hard to locate Jack, so I could finally respond to my dad's neverending question, that, "Yes, I had news of Jack."
Dad served in WWII and worked at Central Taxi for Jack. After I 'met' Jack through his obit, I can easily see why many fondly remember him. He obviously blessed and 'enriched the life of my dad' as well as so many others.
