John A. Foster

Rest in peace, John. My all-time favorite mail carrier.

I spent many hours in the Foster home as a young girl, as Tina and I were childhood friends. I will always remember John as a gentle and patient man, who was soft spoken and kind to me. He and Bettie treated me like family and I treasure fond memories of them both. I praise God that John is now at peace.

Another sad day for Lancaster. All the "great old-timers" are leaving us. May you all know that he is now at peace and joining all his loved ones once again.

Pup had taken us 5 boys sleding at Nashoba, and on the way home we got stuck and Pup worked very hard to get us out. Uncle John came to our rescue, as he had chains on his car. When Uncle John got there he was smiling and saying don't worry I'll get you out. And he did. Just one little story I remember about Uncle John Foster

i worked with john at lancaster post office for many years. he taught me much about the town; making me feel as if i lived there all of my life. he will be in our prayers.
