Not sure what to say?

My thoughts and prayers go out to John's family, particularly Jackie. In my interactions with John when I was a child and also as a teenager, I always felt that he was genuinely interested in me. I enjoyed the times we got to talk in his driveway or standing at his workbench in the garage while he was working on some kind of project. He was quick to wave and shout a greeting or invite us to join them on their back patio. I am grateful for his kindness to me. My love to the family.

What a beautiful photograph and tribute to John. I love that you filled it with honesty, I think he would too. John holds a very special place in my heart. We enjoyed conversations about everything and nothing at all. It was from him, on one very clear day that I learned about what a pointer could really do. I loved those moments of clarity. He always made me smile. He is missed.

I miss him already!! But so happy that he is free free! He was feisty, fun, and loving! We loved him thru it all!! There was nothing like his mischevious smile and wink! Joni, you were an inspiration to many and I will miss you! Thanks for giving us the opportunity to know him and care for him! My prayers are with you all!!

We will love you always and forever, Uncle John. You have played such a special part in our lives. Thank you for always being so kind to me and most of all, thank you for loving my baby girls so much, they love and adore their Uncle John. You have created a lasting memory with them and they will never forget you. WE will never forget you. We love you and Aunt Jacquie to the moon and back, forever and always xoxoxo

Joni, I spent a lot of time at Lee Kay with John in the 90's.
I remember the day that I met him, I asked him if he knew Joni Fotheringham...and of course he smiled and was a bit surprised.
We shot a lot of trap together, and talked about dogs.
He was never satisfied with his dogs, and they were always far better than most.
Big Hugs for you!

John's no nonsense way of life was intimidating to me as a child but as I grew to an adult John became a dear friend. I loved him for his teasing humor, his service to my mom and his acceptance of me. I am grateful to have known John. He was a true friend.

Love to Sis and Family

I miss the days when we were all together and our minds were sharp. RIP dear cousin we will all be together some day. Times like these make us wish we could all be together with family

I remember being fascinated with the pigeons, and scared of the dogs. I have a lot of good memories growing up with Joni, Mike and Jeff. I'm sorry for your loss.

Joni, good job on the obituary - it does sound like John. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Jackie
