John M. Fox

My deepest belated sympathy to the Fox Family. I did not know John, but my father, Glenn L Mellen, worked with John on the orange juice concentrate project with NRC. I would have loved to meet him. I just now found out he lived so close, and yet I never knew it. My mother, who passed away in 2000 told me of the friendship of the families and that she was in on the naming of the company, suggesting, "Made in a Minute", which was later changed to Minute Maid.

The employees of United Fruit Co. were blessed to have Jack as their leader for 10 wonderful years. The company was never the same after his departure. We share your loss.
