John J. Foyer

Mr Foyer was an amazing all-sports coach and mentor. He coached St. Mary´s Girls track, volleyball and basketball during my 5th-8th grade. He lead our Girls Basketball team to Diocesan Champs two years in a row. Mr. Foyer taught us with equality by bringing out our own capability to lead, play as a team, execute what we learned, and enjoy the wins. He was patient, caring and supportive on and off the court. Mr Foyer was a wonderful coach and person. I´m confident I speak for the hundreds of young men who had the privilege of playing football for him so many years ago. I can only imagine the amount of time, stamina and patience it took to come home from work and go back out to deal with 40, or so boys of 10-14 years of age for 3 months!! Yet, he did it with a kind, calm, teaching approach. Learning football at the time, yet lessons we´d carry with us for a lifetime. To all his family, thank you...

Our five children had the privilege of having Coach Foyer during their formative years. As a parent we watched John year round as he dedicated much of his time to educate our children.
