To Rose and the Fragomeni family,
I am very sorry for your loss. I first met Jack in 1994 when I went to see him perform at a microbrewery in Troy. I wanted to approach him about guitar lessons but I was a little hesitant mainly because I was so astounded with his brilliant command of the guitar. Fortunately for me that fear was outweighed by my desire to potentially learn from such a master. I had about a dozen lessons with Jack before I went back to school in Boston. ...

To Rose,
My heart is deeply sadden by your loss of your husband and best frient. Know that as you go forward in life without him, your family and your friends love you and will always be there for you.
I'm very happy for you that you had Jack in your life and that you experienced true love. That is a rare gift and one to be very thankful for.
I'm truly sorry I couldn't attend the funeral but I'm here to listen and love you if you'd like to talk and share...

My experience with Jack was in high school. I played bass guitar in a rock band with him. It was obvious to me that Jack had the talent and drive to become the great musician that he became. I feel sad that he is gone despite the fact that I have not seen him since our days at Mont Pleasant. After reading the many entries in this guest book, it is clear that he accomplished much more than being a terrific guitarist. I am sure that his family, friends and former students
will miss...

The Music Guild. It seems like so long ago. Jack,Mike, and Pete. I couldn't afford lessons. So,Big Jack traded me lesson for a silk komono my U.S.M.C. dad brought back from the South Pacific. Jack washed it and all the colors came out, leaving it pure white. I offered him to choose another one,but he just laughed, and said,"don't worry Dom,it's O.K."Big Jack was great at everything he did. Especially at being a great human being. I will miss you dearly,my friend. "2-5-1,brother,2-5-1." Go with...

I studied guitar with Jack in 1998-99, and I still remember the patience, dedication and enthusiasm with which he taught me. He was a very talented musician and a warm person. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family.

I met Jack through his friends Frank and Pat. He was a truly lovely person. I have been blessed to keep in touch with Jack and Rose for many, many years and am so happy to have gotten together with them the last time I was up their way a couple of springs ago! Jack was pure jazz. And he had such a wonderful sense of word play. I can not believe he is no longer roaming this earth - at least visibly. Jack, you will be sorely missed.

To the Fragomeni Family,
I just learned about Jack's passing from my father, who still lives in Schenctady. I have fond memories of growing up with Jack--playing pick up games at Congress St. Park. My sincerest sympathies to Jack's family.
