Not sure what to say?

I knew John for many years. We were stationed at Naval Hospital Portsmouth, VA. and then on staff duty later in our careers. John at SurfLant and I at AirLant. We were members of Fleet Reserve Branch 172 in Yorktown where he was past president and board member. I will miss his gentle nature, wry sense of humor, and genuine friendship. He was a good friend, loyal, honest, and reliable in a pinch. He will always be among my favorite friendship memories.

Cindy, not sure if you remember me but was good friends with John and so sorry to hear of his passing. Please accept my condolences to you and your family.

Sure miss John as my watchful and caring neighbor. So sorry Cindy for the loss of your fine husband. We loved this great man. God has another angel.

Dearest John,
I was saddened to hear that you have entered the realm of "Eternal Life". I pray for you and your family......
We shall meet again.

The York County Historical Committee sends condolences along with gratitude for all the support John gave to our committee. John believed in the importance of the past in influencing our future. He helped share York County history with the community.
We will miss him.
Lois Winter, York County Historical Committee
