It has been a year and a few months since you passed my love and I miss you John so very much. I am at a place now where I can share stories about our amazing life together and feel joy when I speak of us. You are with me deep in my heart. Always !

Over the years John and Marya stayed often at our B&B in Niagara-on-the-Lake, usually for a week at a time. During down time between Shaw Festival performances, when they would be about the house, we became dear friends. John’s non-sensical, theatrical, hi-jinks kept our home and all it’s guests laughing incessantly. Of all the many qualities that I loved about John, his love of music was perhaps my favorite one. He had an infectious laugh that more than once turned into belly laughter. My condolences to Marya and all of John's family. The picture was taken at John's wedding to Marry

John was a kind and supportive mentor to me. Even when he was retired in Florida I would occasionally hear from him and know he was keeping touch. He contributed a great deal to Syracuse.

Marya, my thoughts are with you. The two of you were such a delightful, supportive team. John’s wit and sense of fun were second to none. He will be missed.
