Prayers for beautiful memories for Cheryl and the family. I will always remember the beautiful words he said at my mother's memorial service. John took a chance on me in the 70's by hiring me as a summer intern at Spring Baptist Church. Throughout my 33 years in the ministry he was always encouraging and uplifting. I never heard or saw him voice a discouraging word about or to anyone. Our lives are better because he was part of them.
