Friel was one of my best friends. For many years he was my best friend. We hung out almost every day. We went to Mexico together. We did a lot of things that I will always remember. My deepest thoughts are with you, John Friel Sr. I pray you will find strength within your mourning and pull through these tough times. Friel could make anybody laugh. Dear Mr. Friel,
I had the pleasure of knowing John through my teaching work at Chicopee Comp High School. He was also the dear friend of my son Jeremy. John was a very cooperative student in my class, and treated me with much respect. I remember how happy John and Jeremy were when they visited Cancun, MX. I picked them up at the airport and it was just wonderful listening to their vacation stories.

I heard about John yesterday, it took me by surprise. I used to live by him growing up. John was such a funny man. We had a lot of memories walking the streets of our neighborhood.
My thoughts & prayers go out to John's family. We will all miss you.

I went to school with John. I was very sad to read his name in the paper. The memories, We had some good times hanging out riding dirtbikes to playing basketball.

I worked with John at Yankee Candle,after he left Yankee I missed him,there was a defanate change in atmosphere,I missed his funny stories and great personality he was a very sweet and caring person. Now I will miss him even more,but I am glad I had the chance to get to know him he really made work a lot of fun.I also worked with his mother Donna,and they were both really great people.My condolences go out Johns family.

I worked with John at Avery Denison. He was the most Polite Person I have ever met in my life He always conversated with every one. always said hello and asked how your weekend went and was a very helpful person at work I will always remember John for his Politeness and his Kindness. My condolences to Johns father and family. All of us that new John at Avery will miss him dearly
