Our prayers go out to you and your family

A great friendship started about 39 years ago due to a barking dog that scared a two year old girl and her mother on their way to the Mark Twain Library. Thanks to that dog we got to meet, and grow up with a really great family. We enjoyed our gatherings sitting in the living rooms or at the dining room tables eating homemade goodies and telling great stories. One that will always be remembered is the Boy Scout campout and the frozen toothpaste. What fantastic memories and laughs we all...

Jack was such a special person who will be greatly missed by our family very much.

I know there are many treasured memories of love that you and your family will carry with you always. I'm holding you close in thought and my prayers.

Carl, our condolences to you and your family on your loss. Although we only met him once, we knew what a special person your father was by the way you proudly spoke of him over the years.

I still have his hand-written answers to interview questions I sent him for a class in high school. I'll always treasure the fact that he took the time to get back to me and how he always had a warm hug when I got to Connecticut and was always brimming with information to share. I'll miss him so much. He was the best grandfather I could ask for.

We only spent time with Jack a few times but he made us feel like we were life long friends from our first meeting. We will miss hearing his pleasant voice.
Love, Jimmie and Alverta

I will always remember Jack as a kind and loving father and always treated me like part of the family. He liked a good story and laughed a lot. All of you will be in my prayers along with Jack.
