Not sure what to say?

Sorry to read about Jack. He was one of my teachers and coach while I was attending St. Anthony´s in Smithtown. He was well Liked by all Of his students.

You Are thought about and missed Mr Fugelsang, You made a difference, Thank you for giving me "good advice" !!

Farewell to my former principal. He will be missed.

As a teenager, you tend to think of those around you as immortal.......I remember Jack Fugelsang walking the halls of Longwood HS, he always intimidated me, but then he smiled and spoke to you and you just knew that he was one of the "good guys".......he will forever be missed.

I was saddened to learn of the passing of Jack Fugelsang, whom I knew as Bro. Boniface, my 8th grade teacher at St. Anthony of Padua School in Brooklyn in 1962-1963. Even as a young grammar school teacher, Mr. Fugelsang was clearly a natural, and remains, after 20 years of schooling, among the very best teachers I have ever experienced, whose influence extended far into the future. His family and friends should know, that since learning of his passing, his 8th grade students from half a...

I have often thought of Jack after he left the Franciscan Brothers. His son John is the spitting image of him.

Jack and I were friends and brothers, and fellow alumni of St. Francis Prep and St. Francis College. I remember his soft and friendly smile. He was friendly to everyone. I never saw him get angry. He was special!

Jack has fought the good fight. He has finished the race. And now he has reaped the rewards that he deserves. He is with God and St. Francis in...

Jack was my French teacher at St Anthony's also but more than that he was a Brother of mine in the Franciscan Brothers. I haven't seen him since our last reunion at Camp Alvernia but remember him fondly. My wife, Barbara and I knew Jack through different venues as she grew up with Maureen and her family and Jack's Mom and Dad were friends. God Bless Jack, he was a wonderful guy and as St. Francis said "it is dying we are born to eternal life". We will meet you again in Christ. Regards and our...

I am a Longwood Alumni class of 87, I had known Mr. Fugelsang well in my high school years, we had a few conversations(in his office)over the years. He was more than fair and he cared about his job deeply, it was not just a job to him. My sincere regrets in his passing.

My husband and are send our sincere sympathies to the Fugelsang family. When our son was in Longwood, we had more than one chat with Mr. Fugelsang. The FOCUS program he put together as well as the dedicated teachers he had involved in it was a force behind possible failures becoming graduates. We have thought of him often over the years and will always be thankful.
