Not sure what to say?

You had your eyes on space working for NASA, and I hope you studied the night sky well for your trip around the stars. I think of you often, Uncle Johnny-

Funkhouser & Davis were friends

I think John's family might be interested in the attached photo of Parepa Smith Funkhouser.

I remember meeting John as a co-op student in Sept 1986. He was a constant in my career that spans 31+ years now. He was a great teacher and mentor, someone I always looked up and I listened carefully to his advice. His family should know that John played a very critical part to the manned space program at Nasa. Many astronauts have John to thank for their safety. Going to miss you John.

I worked with Johnny wife, Donna. I remember when he would always pick her up for lunch every day. He was always smiling and joking with me. Always making me laugh! Good memories of you Johnny!

Words fail. He will be sorely missed, but fondly remembered...his wry wit and wonderful smile. Rest in Peace, John.

I have many good memories working with John as a NASA engineer and will miss his friendship. My deepest condolences are extended to his family. Charles L. Martin
