I had the privilege of getting to know John Gaddis through our involvement with the SA Airport Rotary Club. John was a true inspiration, always leading by example with kindness, generosity, and a deep commitment to others. May we find comfort in the many wonderful memories and the lasting impact and legacy he leaves behind. Wishing peace and strength to John's family during this difficult time.

John and Carola took my father, mother and me to dinner in San Antonio in 1997. He introduced me to tamales. He was my fathers first cousin. He had a wonderful antique car he proudly showed us the next day. We lived in Oregon and he in Texas so it was the first time I'd met him and one of only two times my father met him. I never forgot him. He was larger than life.
