Not sure what to say?

Our prayers are with you during this time
of loss. He always had a kind word, and
enjoyed being outside. He will be missed by his neighbors very much.

I'll never forget the way my grandpa talked about us, his grandchildren. He loved us so much and wasn't afraid to tell us how great he thought we were. When I left for college I would get little emails every once in a while where he would remind me that he was thinking of me and asked about my life away from home. In one email, he told me he had gotten me a subscription to The Economist so I could keep up with current events. Every time I received the magazine I was reminded that he was...

My deepest sympathy to Susan,Karen and Lauren. It's been a long time since Earl and John met at Lambert. They are both gone now and it was a GREAT ride. Don't know what led me to see this guest book, but so glad I did. Rolla, the Lake,Bakersfield,DFW seem like yesterday. God Bless you all.

To Susan, Lauren & Karen:
I'm so sorry for your loss. I only remember meeting your dad, but not much beyond that. However, he must have been a great father for you to be the wonderful people you are. Susan, I do remember your story about how he would run his hand up and down your back before you left for school. As a father of two girls, I can appreciate his work!!! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

When I was a floater at Stolar, I always enjoyed working for John. I
appreciated his sense of humor and the fact that he treated me with
respect, which made a sometimes difficult job much more enjoyable. My sincere condolences to his family.

Gann and Family
My love to you all and I will
continue to hold you in my prayers.
I must smile when I think of Rod
and his famous "R.V.Ride" to Fulton!
So very glad to have known you guys
in those wonderful days!

To one of the most amazing, kind, wonderful men I will ever know, I hope you know how much I love you and how much I miss you. I will never forget sleeping at your house when I was little. I so cherished those sleepovers and waking up in the morning to have breakfast with you before you would leave for work. What I would give to give you one more back rub at the dining room table, or to hear you tell me to just "be smart kid". I will cherish the memories of our summers up north, Sunday...

It is a great sorrow to learn of John's passing. I have had the pleasure and benefit of working with him for 37 years in municipal finance. He was generous with his time, patient with my questions and always a pleasure to work with. His erudition (I learned that word from him) always amazed me. My heart goes out to G'Ann during this dark time.

Among the many lessons that I learned from John Gaebe ... "always do public business in public" ... and "never show up for a luncheon meeting under-dressed ... or we won't be able to have lunch at the Missouri Athletic Club". John's personal service and attention to detail in administering NUMEROUS municipal bond issues constitute a true service to the public, for which a large citizenry will be forever grateful. Friends in Nashville and Washington County, as well as Addieville, are...
