Not sure what to say?

John was my roommate at Transylvania College in Lexington, KY during the year 1964-65. We got along great and I always remember his playing his saxophone and thought that he'd go on to become a professional musician. RIP, John.

We will miss John's thoughtful & intelligent consideration of ideas, his curiosity, the focused attention he gave to all his involvements. Some call that intentional living, and that describes part of John, but in the last 12 years we came to know him also as a man of integrity and kindness. John will be missed by so many who knew him and those he had yet to meet. Those of us from the Kankakee area were blessed to have had him with us on our flight journeys. He was a delight in conversations with his stories of the many adventures. His friendship and insights will carry many as we too "touch the face of god."

Pam and family, we are sorry for your loss. John went flying with me early in my flying career and cleared me to solo. Later, he was my instructor for my instrument rating. His teaching style was of the finest caliber and I truly enjoyed our flying time together. His eagerness to share his experiences and his thoughtfulness in helping other overcoming 'impossible' hurdles was amazing. Thank you for sharing him with us.
