JOHN PAUL GALVIN, age 29, died in his sleep on May 8, 2013 in Akron, OH. Beloved son of John and Stephanie (nee Carlozzi); loving brother of Walter (Samantha), Elizabeth DiJulius (Stephen), Catherine, Andrew (deceased), Peter, Stephen, Margaret, Charles, Dominic, Thomas and Vincent; cherished grandson of Walter and Barbara (nee Flanagan) and Judith Aukerman (nee Gulden) and the late Frank Carlozzi. Survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Born in New Haven, CT, J.P. was a graduate of Harrison, OH High School, served in the National Guard and was a student at the University of Akron at the time of his death. Traditional Catholic Funeral Mass Monday, May 13 at St. Peregrine Chapel (22953 Detroit Rd., Westlake) at 11:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS SUNDAY 1-6 P.M.

JP was such a great kid. I cried when I heard the news. My heart goes out to the whole family for your loss. My sympathy and love to all of you.

Sorry for your loss. Was in class with John and he was a awesome humorous guy. Very shocking to hear about this from my professor this morning. RIP and my condolences.

John will be remembered in our Rosary today for the repose of his precious soul. May he rest in the peace of Christ.
