John “Johnny” Rey Uribe Garcia, Jr., 28, of San Jose, CA, returned to his heavenly home on January 12, 2020.
Johnny was born to Patricia and John Garcia, Sr. He was blessed with a large and loving family. From his little, big sister, whom he looked up to, Allyson; to his “Twin Mama’s” baby sister Lauren; to his best friend and wing man, his “Mini Me” baby brother Noah. Johnny loved spending quality time and vacationing with his family. The memories are endless from ziplining in Hawaii, to beach bumming in Avila Beach, to rippin’ it out on the banshee and towin’ for the low in the Pismo Dunes. He also loved riding his Harley, snowboarding in Lake Tahoe, and camping in Bodega Bay.
Johnny had dreams of solidifying his own family when he was to marry the love of his life, Amanda Miller, on August 8, 2020. Johnny and Amanda have two children, his son, Gianni Rey, and his stepdaughter, “little miss” Scarlette. He strived to create a foundation of unconditional love for his children and his Fiancé. Johnny was blessed to spend his life with the one person who looked past all of his impulsive decisions and saw who he really was as he brought so much light and happiness to his family.
Johnny transformed who he was often. He explored life trying to find his purpose and place in the world. In trying to find his perfect fit, he touched countless lives with his charisma, genuine smile, and his soul. During his many transformations he took on different aspects of his life as, Johnny Boy, the protector, Johnny the Barber, the dreamer and lastly, Johnny Boots, the everlasting friend who formed a brotherhood whilst riding in the wind on his Harley.
Johnny is survived by his parents Patricia and John Garcia; Fiancé Amanda Miller; son Gianni and step-daughter Scarlette; his sisters Allyson and Lauren and his brother Noah. He also leaves his paternal grandparents Martin and Juanita Garcia, Abel and Elvira Ceja and his maternal grandmother Lupe Uribe. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Guillermo Uribe. Johnny will be missed by his countless tíos, tías, cousins and friends.
