Not sure what to say?

I am very sadden to learn of Doc's passing. I was assigned to his Battalion Aid Station during Desert Shield/Storm. Not only was he a wonderful caring doctor, he was also a wonderful person and joy to be around in a difficult situation.

My condolences to Dr. Garcia's family. I worked with Dr.Garcia at Camp BULLIS, he was always a caring and humble man. He was loved by his staff and patients. His sense of humor stands out in my memory as well as his love for the goats he loved to talk about. I know he is in heaven now smiling as he always did.

Our thoughts and prayers at this time for Dr.J.J. and his family. I worked with Dr. J.J. as a Paramedic ( S.A.F.D.) it was a pleasure working with him. May he Rest In Peace. Mr.and Mrs. Vicente L. Flores Retired San Antonio Fire Dept.

Our sincerest sympathy for you and your family. What an incredible loss of such a decorated and accomplished hero for our Country.

I am very sorry for your loss. May God give the family peace during this time

I have such fond childhood memories of my cousin John. He was kind, sweet and gentle. His beautiful boys have his gentleness, much love to you,Johnny,Abel and Jacob. May your lovely father rest in peace.

My cousin John was a childhood hero of mine. I was maybe 2 when John first sat me at the piano while he played for us and he taught me my first dance steps when I was 3. I adored my teenage cousin because he gave me his love and attention. I deeply loved John with his beautiful smile, his great sense of humor and his love of music. John had a great impact on my early years and I will love him forever. I am heartbroken for John's wife and children and I send all my love. May God bless, comfort...

great man, mentor and leader. I was blessed to be able to work and serve with him. He will be greatly missed by all.

I first met JJ at Galveston our first year of med school. His warm personality and fantastic smile made him many friends, but he had a way of making you feel as if you were his best friend. I casually asked him what he did before he went to med school, and was amazed as he told me of his Vietnam experiences. I felt blessed to continue our friendship here in San Antonio over these last few decades. I pray for comfort for the family of this remarkable man. We will miss you, JJ. Until we...
