Mr. John Gardini, 75, of Manchester, NH died at his home surrounded by family on Aug. 13, 2005.
He was born in Franklin on Feb. 28, 1930 the son of Caesare and Marie (Chabot) Gardini. Mr. Gardini was raised in Franklin and attended local schools.
During World War II, he served as a corporal in the US Army 82nd Airborne.
Mr. Gardini operated the New York Barbershop in Manchester until 1972. He was also a member of the NY Barbershop Assn. Mr. Gardini then established a Dunkin Donut franchise in Claremont which he operated for several years. He then operated The Duck Inn in Springfield, Vt. until returning to Manchester in 1986.
Mr. Gardini was a member of The American Legion and the DAV in Manchester. He also volunteered at The Manchester VA Medical Center Physical Therapy Dept.
He is survived by his wife, Diane (Heanault) Gardini of Manchester; 3 daughters with ex-wife, Vivian Cutts of Claremont: Vivian James, Dallas, TX, Deborah Sheldon of Londonderry, and Susan Gardini-Cavanaugh of Holyoke, Mass., 8 grandchildren, his sister, Gloria Joyal of Franklin and his two nieces, Joan Cutler of LI, NY and Andrea Osborne of Andover, NH. , 4 stepchildren: Diana Nault, Michael St. Cyr, Donald St. Cyr, and Louis St. Cyr, all of Manchester
A visitation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 16th from 8:30 to 9:30 at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 am. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Gardini may be made to The Manchester VA Medical Center, 718 Smyth Rd., Manchester, NH 03104.

Viv, Deb, Susan, I am so sorry to have missed giving you my condolences in person. I just found out today, (Aug 19)) If I had known about this earlier I would have been there.
What can I say I miss you all and have wondered many a time how you were all doing and if life was being good to you three. Although our lives have moved on as time does as well, I have not forgotten the kindness of your family to me. You Dad was a great guy and I was glad to know him as well as I did....

I just wanted to say that John Gardini was a wonderful man. John was very much loved and he will be missed. His 3 daughters, Vivian, Deborah and Susan Loved him more than words can say and would do anything for their father. He will be miss by all that loved him. We all know he is in a better place now, in Heaven with Our Lord. God Bless his family that are still here and may God help to ease there pain. WE Love You John You Will Never Be Forgotten.
