Add humility to John's many qualities. I (representing Factory Mutual) and Capt. Wilber Mills (GE deceased) and then Capt. Jim Warner (GE ret) met with John many times; though he loved to talk other than shop, he withheld many of the interesting stories mentioned on the wonderful obit. I would love to have heard about flying under the bridge from him. John was always fair, open minded and gregarious; so while his body will return to dust, his spirit will live in his children, grandchildren...
