RIP Coach.

I was a terrible, unmotivated student back in '78. Mr. Gear seemed to like me for no apparent reason. Lectures was his teaching style and he would completely captivate my imagination with his stories of WWII, a subject that interests me to this day. His teaching motivated me to travel to Europe and tour significant areas of the war. He was the best teacher I ever had.

As a colleague, I knew I could always rely on him to bring a smile to my face, an outright chuckle, or a story that I tucked away in fond memory. A lot of fun! An American Bandstand alumnus.

I loved mr. gear. He was one of my favorite teachers and very patient and understanding. When I think of my high school days thoughts of him come up. God bless the family for sharing a wonderful individual with so many and bring comfort to their hearts

Mr. Gear was also a favorite teacher of mine. He taught me US History in the mid to late 70s; I always appreciated his knowledge, humor, and candor. I learned a lot from him and I will always remember him fondly. My prayers and condolences are extended to his loved ones. Thanks for the memories, Mr. Gear.
