As a former basketball season ticket holder back in the day, I often found myself "star gazing" thru the lenses of my binoculars in between game breaks, while perched up high in the nosebleed seats of the Omni. It was during those breaks my eyes led me to the court-side seated fans on either side of Hawks team owner R.E. Turner, particularly "the sockless guy" wearing Bass Weejuns to every single game. No one showed more team enthusiasm than this guy.
