We were so sad to hear of Mr. Gebhart´s passing. We enjoyed having him as a neighbor in OCNJ, and always enjoyed our conversations. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sharon and the family.

sorry to hear of EDs passing . Truly a professional with a personality. He was a good man

I was a police officer in Yeadon and knew Ed as a true professional who did honest journalism without bias, prejudice or skewed observations. He was kind, very comfortable to talk to which made his success. He worked at the Delco Times when others like Phil Herron editor cared about the quality of the product. Ed´s reputation and legacy speaks volumes for his character. God bless and Rest In Peace, for a brief time Ed, you are the story!

My deepest condolences to the Gebhart Family for the loss of your loved one, John Edward, and pray God gives you comfort, peace and strength during this difficult time.

So very sorry to hear of Mr. Gephart's passing. As a one time avid reader of The Daily Times, I looked forward to reading his columns. Great writer! God speed. Linda

Having lived in delco my entire life, I knew Ed Gebhart well, as an avid reader of his articles in the Times. I graduated high school and was friends with his son Ed, and in fact met, and spent the evening with, his Dad just once. That once is forever ingrained in my life memories- Ed sr. took his son and a few of his friends to see the farewell concert of Cream at the Spectrum in 1969! Wow! I followed suite by taking my son at age 8 and 12 to concerts of his faves. God bless you Ed sr and...

Thank you for the endless entertaining articles you wrote. The memories you shared "hit home" so many times. Thank you for that & your military service. Please RIP & God bless.

We will always remember Ed especially on Christmas day for his BOOGEY MAN story. God bless your family during these difficult days ahead John & Gloria O'Donnell
