John Louis Gelacek

To the Gelacek, and Sandlin Families; I want to extend my deepest sympathy in regards to the passing of John Louis Gelacek. I met him only once through his nephew by marriage, Perry Sandlin. To me he was most interesting especially his stories about his boxing career where my uncle, Barney Quilter, was his trainer!!! I found John to be a very sincere, and decent family man who seemed to never forget anybody. May he rest in peace for he has lived a good life that was well lived.
