They were friends of my parents and I stayed with them as a teenager when there were problems in my home I will never forget how he helped me. RIP Mr. Germ

Mr. Germ was a man of great integrity and compassion. When he was director of Lake County Narcotics he was very understanding and supportive when my family was going though a very difficult and complex situation. I had great respect for him and will always appreciate the support he offered me. RIH John

John Germ was one of the really "good people" I met in my thirty year career in municipal finance. I was Director of Finance at Willowick when John was made chief. He was a straight shooting professional and tried his best to hide a wonderful sense of humor. John and I didn't always see eye to eye on all matters but he always upheld his professionalism and showed respect for me regardless of whatever differences we had. I'm pretty sure that John and I canceled each other out at the voting...
