John Gesser was a friend & colleague. He was a member of the old gang of engineers that founded the first ASHRAE chapter in Hawaii. He knew the old timers that used to go to the piano bar next to the Ilikai for lunch. As a sales person; we used to talk about customers and how projects were going. He handled the WSA chiller brush systems and we were friendly competitors with another manufacturer; but now handle the WSA line after they parted ways with John retiring. What I admired about him was he always carried himself with dignity and...

My parents were residents of the Catholic Home until last June when they moved to the health center. John was our favorite person to talk to whether he was walking on the treadmill or having a drink at Flatley’s. He was a very kind man-we will miss him. You must have many happy memories to comfort you during this sad time.
