He sounds like he was light in the darkness. Though I didn't have the pleasure of meeting him, he will be missed. Please accept my deepest heartfelt condolences. I pray God's strength, peace, and comfort for the family during this time of mourning.

I interacted with Dr Gezon over a brief period of time in the mid-late 70s. I was a young lab technician at Holy Cross Hospital on the graveyard shift who collected specimens in the ER and then performed the requested tests back in the laboratory. He showed me that Medicine is both an Art and a Science. I saw patients who looked pretty dead come in and I watched Dr Gezon stand at the head of the bed and direct traffic of nurses, respiratory therapy, imaging, etc. and then, just like magic,...

Dr. Gezon was one of the most in charge, calming, and all around sound and grounded ER doctors that were in the Holy Cross Hospital during the early to late 70's at which time the emergency care provider changed for SLC. Holy Cross was the "go-to" ER for SLCPD when we had people who needed medical attention. Some were victims, some were perpetrators. Through the years many memories were made with the good doctor. Some emotionally painful and others humorous in the face of real life...

I was an SLPD officer and had the pleasure to know Dr. Gezon. Graveyard shift casualties often brought us together in the Holy Cross emergency room. His professionalism, his ability to meet any challenge, and his undaunting humor took the sting out of the many tragic situations that plague emergency rooms when most other people are peacefully sleeping. He was truly what a medical practioner should be. I am saddened to read of his passing. Wherever you are Dr. Gezon, keep smiling. You will...

It´s challenging to fully convey the impact on scores of people (every kind, from every place) that one special life can have! I was fortunate enough to have worked for years in the E.R. of the old Holy Cross Hospital with Dr. John Gezon! Dr. Gezon had the perfect personality and mindset to work in the very challenging environment of the Emergency Room. His patient and caring manner helped patients to calm down, and patients knew that they were being cared for by someone that truly cared for...
