Not sure what to say?

Dear Alicia and family,
I was so sorry to learn of the recent passing of your father. I will always remember him for his continuous generosity toward Carman-Ainsworth choir and theatre department throughout the years. We always appreciated his doughnuts. May our prayers sustain and uplift you through this difficult time.

I remember John from smaller comic conventions. What a sweetheart he was, always smiling and certainly not the surly type like so many were toward women comic fans. His greatest joy was becoming a father. That is what I will always remember him talking about.

I don't think we knew a person more generous than John, and many charities benefited from his love for people. We are so sad for those who loved him. He was kind to our son who, as a young boy, shopped at Comic Relief, and he was dear to us when we visited the donut store.

Never was there a another human that embodied the true meaning of community service more. John was a huge supporter of my Son's Cub Scout den, Boy Scout troop and the Carman Ainsworth School district overall. When it came to his community, especially children. I don't think John ever said no. Thank you Mr. Gibbons for your life of selflessness. May you find the peace you so richly deserve.

John was a very giving guy he supplied many dozens of donuts for the democratic campaigns also to the Burton Chamber you will be missed.prayers go out to your family.
Ellen Ellenburg ( Burton Mi.)

John always had a smile and great to be around. I was glad I got to work at the comic shop on new book day when I was younger. He will be missed!

Dear family of John, my deepest sympathy. I am Mark Rust's Sister Robin & Mark loved John he always stopped & seen John when ever he was in town from N.C... great man so sorry

Even though I didn't know John personally, he waited on me several times and was such a nice friendly man. Donna had the best Donuts and now heaven gets to experience them. My prayers to his family and I will think of him each time I go to Donnas Donuts.

John, will be missed so much, he was so kind and always my friend even from 1970's, (I had moved away and came back) when we worked at Donna's together as teenagers (even when we all got old). I am so glad we got to talk a few weeks ago, He sure loved his daughter and smiled big when he talked of her. I am so sorry for your loss.
