Not sure what to say?

I only knew Mr. Gibel through the brilliant work of Rick Reinert studios. His good heart and commitment to excellence were an inspiration. He will live on forever in the hearts and memories of all whose lives he touched, which are many. God bless you, sir, and may God bless and continue to watch over your family, friends, and loved ones.

Norma,
Please, please, contact me at [email protected].
Please, finding out several days ago that John died so suddenly in 2005 has been such a shock. I really need to talk to you if you will contact me by email I will give you my phone number.
I'm so sorry that you and your family lost John, he was and will always be the rock anyone could lean on. He never took, he always gave himself so selflessly.
Sincerely,
Peggy

I am Jackie's sister Norma Jeanne, I miss you so much everyday and your advice and loving strength that helped so much too. With loving thoughts on this day. Be seeing you hopefully soon enough.

I miss you so much too, and love you with all my heart. Today is essential I remember the times we had on holidays with mom and dad and mom, and then dad and then mom. You know what I meant I need your strength and your loving advice everyday. Love and a hug. Your sister Norma Jeanne, with loving heart

I love you with all my heart, miss you so much too. You were my angle, behind my strength to overcome everything. It has been a struggle without your advice and your warmth of your loving heart. thank you for your love. your sister Norma Jeanne

You're candle will never burn out. You are the greatest, most caring man, I have ever known.

I loved John with all my heart. Our time we had together in 1987-88 will never be forgotten. I never stopped loving you John, I never wanted us to be apart. I still do not understand why it happened that we parted. I believe you needed the time to find your dream, your passion, and follow your heart . Trying to balance a relationship and helping all of our elderly friends took so much time away from what you ultimately accomplished. I can't express the shock I had when I googled your...

I worked with John Gibel in 1976 at Rick Reinert Productions, an animation company in Cleveland. John was very considerate and helpful, both serious and fun-loving. I was very fortunate to have connection with John long after we worked together. I attended his funeral with all the many friends he made in his life. I hope I thanked him personally at some time for all the kindnesses he bestowed on me and if I did not, let this memory of him serve as a tribute. The world seems much emptier...

Thank you for dedicating today's strip to Mr. Gibel, or I wouldn't know to find his obituary so I could get to know a bit about him. I think I already felt who he was from the good feeling his comic strip always had. Thank you for keeping it going, we all appreciate it very much.

I admire the way he aimed his life toward happiness.
